TikTok Review: The White House’s TikTok Page, @whitehouse
Disgusting. Vile. Putrid. Dystopian. Ugly. When I scroll through the official White House’s TikTok page — and yes, they have one — I think, seriously, what has this country come to? America has become a joke, and the White House’s TikTok account testifies to how little the Trump administration and its supporters care about humanity, dignity, diplomacy, and respect. On this page you will find edits — which are highly stylized video montages — romanticizing ICE agents kidnapping innocent people off the streets and of Donald Trump strolling the White House halls to the song “Pump It” by The Black Eyed Peas (which definitely wasn’t approved of by the band). It’s just edit after edit after propaganda post followed by another edit: it makes a mockery of the pain being caused by this administration in such a casual way, and I have never found an embodiment of something more shameful, unethical, and void of empathy than this particular TikTok account.
