Phoebe Bridgers: Lost Weekend (2026)
By Abigail Jones
“Good things come to those who wait”--so goes the old saying that Phoebe Bridgers fans are sure to agree with after the release of her long-awaited third album. Lost Weekend is a thoughtfully melancholic exploration of grief, with lyrics that don’t drown you in their sadness so much as pull you into the current, making it impossible to turn off the music. Take the song “Still Standing,” which swathes listeners in gentle guitar strumming and poetic lyrics, lamenting “You're back to the ocean, burning red / I can't imagine you dead / But you are every day.” Bridgers both magnifies and simplifies her feelings of loss in a way that leaves her fans simultaneously heartbroken and awestruck. The hauntingly soft instrumental composition makes this the perfect album to listen to on late nights – or on the days when you just want to listen to music and stare at the ceiling. Loss is not a topic that most would willingly subject themselves to, but Lost Weekend seems to make it so. 4 out of 5 Stars
